The Finis Hotel was a hotel in Swindon where Thursday Next stayed when she returned there from a ten-year stay in London. She was unwilling to stay with her mother on the grounds that her old room was just as she had left it when she was eighteen, complete with posters.
The receptionist was a middle-aged woman called Liz Barrett-Browning, who encouraged Thursday to go on a date with Landen Parke-Laine. The bar was called The Cheshire Cat, tended by Chris, and it was here that Thursday first met Victor Analogy and Bowden Cable.
